- Assists, supports, and coaches team members in effective instruction.
- Coordinates new teacher induction program for first and second year teachers.
- Supports schools with implementation of the New Teacher Center Mentoring Program.
- Builds internal capacity in the use of effective instruction.
- Models direct, explicit systematic instruction including effective teaching techniques and strategies.
- Assists the design and creation of materials and assessments to align with standards and performance objectives.
- Assists the alignment of standards/curriculum with related instructional materials, strategies and activities.

Teaching & Learning Overview
The Curriculum Department helps teachers by providing resources and guidance. This is designed to improve student learning. The primary responsibilities of the department include curriculum, textbook adoption, alignment of the K-12 curriculum, and providing focused staff development opportunities for teachers to enhance their skills to better serve all students.
We offer a range of resources for teachers and students to support the District’s mission. It is our goal to ensure that students flourish here, staff knows we care for each other, and all of us strive to get better every day.
