  1. In honor of St. Patrick's day we will be having a two day sale on our green slushie. All green slushies are two dollars. Happy St. Patrick's day!
  1. Hello MHS! This week is the unveiling of the new slushie flavor, Green Apple! So come down and try it before it runs out. 
  1. Any Junior/Senior wanting volunteer hours, and is interested in ANNOUNCING at the HOME softball games, please let Coach McConnell know ASAP. We're looking for someone to announce line-ups, play walk-up songs, introduce new batters, etc. Thanks.
  1. You are invited to attend a community celebration of the re-opening  of the school based health clinic on Monday, March 20th
  1. Community Read 2017- Author, Valerie Geary will be showcasing her book, Crooked River on April 6th and 7th in Jefferson County. On April 6th, Thursday night at 5:30 PM she will join Sue Young’s MHS digital photography students at the Art Adventure Gallery opening night. Students will be displaying their photo responses to her book. We would encourage all students, parents, teachers and friends to join us at this gallery event. Photography students are invited to come meet the author and bring their family to see their photo display.
  1. GSA will meet in room 29 at lunch on Friday. 
  1. Did you know that 10 million new skilled workers will be needed in construction, engineering, manufacturing and technology by 2020?  Get yourself ready!  Sign up for a CTE class at Madras High School.   See your councilor for more information.
  1. ATTENTION MHS! Are you interested in donating blood? Our next blood drive is Thursday March 16th in the gym. You can sign up in the commons during lunch. If you had an apt for the last blood drive, you will need to reschedule to participate! Remember, one donation of blood can save up to 3 lives. Hope we see you there!
  1. So you enjoy building projects with your hands?  Want the skills to pay the bills? Check out our Manufacturing program at MHS. You can learn to weld and build cool projects during school. Learn skills that could help you after become employable after high school. Talk to your counselor about getting in to one of the manufacturing classes and potentially redirecting your future. Go See Mr. Anderson in room 52 if you have any questions.
  1. Montana State University will be here on March 16th at 2pm to meet with interested students at MHS! Stop by Student Services to sign up to meet with their representative. 
  1. Attention 11th and 12th Native American students!! OHSU On Track is hosting another field trip to OHSU on Friday March 24th. Students will tour the OHSU campus, explore OHSU's Simulation Center and meet local Native American health care professionals. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is provided. Sign up with Ms. Piercy in Student Services.
  1. Hey Junior Girls! Oregon Girls State, sponsored by American Legion Auxiliary, is looking for applicants for this year's Summer program which runs June 11-17, 2017. If you are interested in Leadership, governmental processes and the rights and responsibilities of citizenship, this could be a great opportunity for you! There is a potential to earn scholarship money after completing the program. Check out the Summer Opportunities wall in Student Services for more information and to pick up an application!
